This is where a Deus spends his/her experience.

Increasing Stats:

I _think_ things will be okay if we just make it a one for one excange. Spend 5 exp, get 5 str..that sorta thing. This MAAY lead to ppl getting too strong too fast but...let's hope we can avoid that.

Special Moves:

Because of the nature of special moves, I can't list specific moves and exp costs. The best I can do at this point is make a loose outline of Special Moves with their costs and list some examples.

Dark Dimension is a special attack I've considered developing for Talon that uses his sword and Dark Power chip together. He thrusts his sword into the ground and from the crack comes a complete blackness that covers everything but the fighters. While Dark Dimension is active Talon may not use his sword or Dark Power Chip. At any time Talon may slip into the darkness, making him effectively invisible. He must come back out (making himself visible) to attack. Dark Dimension absorbs all elemental attacks. Using a light attack against Dark Dimension has a chance of destroying the effect (opposed light attack strength vs dark attack strength). Dark Dimension lasts up to 4 rounds (not counting the one used to create it) and costs 2 charges from Talon's Power Chip.
This attack offers huge advantages and has quite a few weaknesses. Overall though, it gives Talon quite an advantage and would cost about 6 exp for Deus Hiryu to learn.

Death Spiral is a special attack Jen came up with for Deviant. She jumps off a wall and spins with her two handed axe, basically turning into a spinning sawblade, distructo disk kind of thing. The attack is incredibly fast but she can't really aim very well so she gets no bonus or penalty to hit. The attack is at +10 strength and if her opponent tries to block then it becomes a shattering blow attempt. If she misses the opponent her axe becomes lodged in whatever she DOES hit and she counts as being unbalanced.
Because this attack has both strong and weak points. Overall it only gives Devaint a small advantage, therefore it would only cost around 2 exp for Deus Laela to learn.

The main idea will be that..while you CAN post things like special attacks...the actual effect of them will be left up to the judges unless you actually buy them as a Special Move and have them included on the Angel's sheet. and it's almost guaranteed that judges will not grant much of an advantage on their own. To attain a Special Attack, send in your idea for the attack you want, including it's weaknesses and strengths, to a staff member and they will help refine it and decide how many exp it will cost you to learn.

Specialties, Traits, and Styles:

Some trainers will prefer and become highly proficient in certain tactics. Some will even unlock hidden potential within themselves that can be channeled through their angel. I am including all three areas in the same thing because they will be bought the same way, for the same number of points during creation, or as one's character grows and evolves as a Deus. All traits may be bought multiple times and are cumulative. Note that some Traits are actually weaknesses and give you experience for choosing them.

Berserker (2)- usually only used by a VR controller. In reaction to any hit that deals 10 or more damage you can fly into a berserker rage. All defensive stats (reflexes, durability, resistance) are halved and all offensive stats (agility, strength, magic) are increased by 50%, round both up. The total amount of time a Deus/Angel may rage is one round a match for every time this trait is taken.

Reactionary (4) - this Deus knows how to bide his time and wait for the moment to hit. When the opponent fails an attack, this Deus gets a +5 bonus to his response attack.

Cunning (4)- this Deus knows how to read opponents and use it to her advantage. For every round this Deus spends studying the opponent (may not attack or be on full defense) she gets +5 to hit, damage, or dodge (her choice). Bonuses fade depending on the situation (left up to the judges, usually by the next match).

Tricky (3)- this Deus knows how to make his opponent twitch just before tactical strikes. His opponents are -5 to defend against his abnormal attacks.

Wary (2)- this Deus knows to watch for tricksters in the arena. they get +5 to avoid abnormal attacks

Naive (-2) - this Deus has yet to get the hang of the ins and outs of the less direct ways one can be attacked. They are at a -5 penalty to avoid abnormal attacks.

Indomitable (5)- this Deus can keep his doll fighting through sheer force of will, even after the generator has given out. This Deus can keep his/her angel fighting for one round after the generator has shut down.

Opportunist (4) - this Deus has an eye for the moment. If her opponent is off balanced or otherwise put in a position of disadvantage the Deus gets a free attack (provided she is in close enough to do anything about it). This trait can be used once per match for every time this trait is taken.

Quitter (-2) - this Deus is easily discouraged. If he seems outmatched or outdone he gets -5 to a stat (judge's choice) for the next round. If taken more than once, the penalty may be split up to multiple times in a match

Aggressor (4) - this Deus knows how to keep his opponent on the defense. He has a feel for how one move flows into another. Chain attack penalties are reduced by 5.

Determined (2) - this Deus will not accept defeat and seems to always rise to the challenge. If she seems outmatched or outdone she gets +5 to a stat (her choice) for the next round. If taken more than once, the bonus may be split up to multiple times in a match.

Mutual Damage (-10) - This Deus has a horribly strong connection to his angels. Not only does he feel their pain but their damage can actually transfer to him, often resulting in broken bones and bleeding. This makes it more difficult for him to fight on. When an angel falls to 3/4 of their max hp there is a -5 penalty to one stat (judge's choice), then another when at 1/2, then finally a last one at 1/4 totalling -15. The penalities may be split up to different stats. When the doll stops functioning the Deus will either lose conciousness or come really close.

Final Attack (10) - this Deus can muster all her energy into one final blow that will decide the match. All stats are at +10 for one attack but after that her angel is only left with enough energy to stand. Any attack after that will finish her. You may not use final attack if you are also using Indomitable.

This is where I need the most help other than just plain testing the system. i'd really like to get some more traits, especially weaknesses like Naive, Quitter and Mutual Damage. Oh yeah also...I realize some of the prices, effects and things aren't quite balanced out yet...this is the newest section I've added so obviously it's going to have the most bugs to work out.
